Zubair Farid is a CFA Charterholder and finance educator with approximately ten years of London banking experience at Lloyds Bank and HSBC. His career spans front-office money-market and repo trading, treasury funding and senior market-risk oversight of global credit businesses. At Lloyds, he was part of a six-person team managing £55 billion in secured and unsecured funding; at HSBC, his responsibilities covered credit trading activities across London, New York, Hong Kong and Paris.

Based in Dubai, Zubair delivers professional and university-level teaching through Kaplan Professional Middle East, PwC Academy, GLOMACS and De Montfort University Dubai. His teaching covers CFA programmes, corporate finance, valuation, financial modelling, investment management and risk analysis, including the financial assessment of real estate investments.

He brings an institutional investment perspective to real estate education, helping participants assess what an asset is worth, how it should be financed and whether its expected return justifies the risk. His teaching combines clear explanations, practical case studies and Excel-based analysis, equipping professionals to challenge assumptions and make well-supported investment decisions
