About

Dr. Marouane received his Ph.D. and MBA in international marketing from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Kyoto University, Japan. He received his Bachelor degree in Business Studies and Management from Al Manar University, Tunis. 
Prior to his current role as the MBA director of EIC, Dr. Marouane held a senior managerial positions at Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Est. for SME Development - an entity of Dubai Economic Department (DED), he was instrumental in co-leading the team in charge of designing and developing the region’s first and largest entrepreneurial ecosystem (Entrepreneurs Business Village) located in Dubai, UAE. He has also served in the panel of senior experts of the University of Wollongong in Dubai to launch Dubai’s first fully accredited Ph.D. program. Having served as an advisor and a member of the academic steering committee of Dubai Real Estate Institute where he obtained the honorary distinction of best faculty award in 2014, he has been appointed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs to work on the implementation of the new Real estate law and its strategic communication. Prior to that, Dr. Marouane has held the position of Senior Lecturer and Marketing Program Leader at Middlesex University, the American University in Dubai & UAE University where he taught and designed a variety of courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA levels. His Scholarly articles have appeared in a number of top-tier journals, books and reviews including: Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Selling and Sales Management, Journal of International Marketing and Marketing Research, Journal of International Marketing and Exporting, Journal of Transnational Management Development, and the Journal of African Business.  
Dr. Marouane’s research appear also in the proceedings of several international conferences in Japan, the US, France, Spain and Turkey. In addition he is fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science, the American Marketing Association, Society for the Advancement of Management, International Management Development Association, Japanese Association of Marketing and Distribution as well as other business and academic institutions.  
Dr. Marouane is also an experienced manager / entrepreneur with a significant experience in the fields of strategic communication (Brand building and brand engagement), events management, Real Estate Marketing, and educational services. Over the past few years, he served as a consultant and worked closely with several companies in Japan (Sanyo, Panasonic), Tunisia (Sanyo Solar Panels, Al Ifada) Dubai (Dubai Land Department, RERA, Al Sondos Holding, Priority R.E., DREI, Hi-Phone, Taaheed, SEED Technology, On-Time) Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi Municipality, Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Geolinks, Al Barakah Holding, Canal Walk, Tafaouq…etc.). He has also served on the board of directors of Portfolio Real Estate, Perspective LLC and Relevance FZ LLC. Currently, he serves as a senior advisor for Swiss Arabian (one of the major retailers and trading groups in the GCC), Escenzo.com (a new e-commerce startup) and Z. Odeh group (a regional trading and manufacturing group). His research interests center on the fields of International Marketing, Branding, Marketing in the Middle East and Developing Economies, New Product Development, Entrepreneurship, destination marketing, Service Marketing, and Real Estate Marketing.  
Dr. Marouane is also an expert trainer who designed and conducted a variety of workshop and marketing consultancies for prominent clients including Abu Dhabi Municipality, Dubai Islamic Bank, ADNOC, DED Abu Dhabi, Dubai International Airport, Dubai Real Estate Authority, Dubai Real Estate Institute, Department of Civil Aviation, Snapshot Consulting, Tameer, Knowledge Network (K.Net), and JAFZA...etc. He is also among the Panel of experts invited by a number of institutions to serve as a speaker and panelist for a variety of topics related to Marketing in the Middle East, Strategic communication, Brand building, Innovation and Creativity, international marketing and entrepreneurship.
